Members of the Sortino Club, it is with great pleasure to announce if you haven’t already heard, certain L3 restrictions have been relaxed. One of those restrictions relates to allowing outdoor activities (Including Golf) to be played in groups of no more than 10. This comes into effect as of 23.59 AET Tuesday 12/05/2020.

What does this mean for the Sortino Club games:
I am currently working on getting some answers around this, in particular our game this Sunday at Gardiners Run. I spoke to Gardiners run on Thursday last week and they could not give me any answers until the press release was had and they knew what restrictions would be relaxed. I have again tried today and they are closed with expectation to open tomorrow.
Both Vito and I are working hard to obtain answers for this Sundays game and as soon as we have confirmation I will ensure all members are notified.
Based on the announcement made today by Dan Andrews we can play in groups of 4 maintaining social distancing, however it will be up to each golf clubs discretion on how they run their club and the course of play. Some clubs are limiting two players some clubs are only allowing members others are fully opening with distancing measures …..etc.

At this stage please assume we are going ahead with Sunday as planned

PLEASE REPLY ON TEAM APP ASAP as we will need to know number tomorrow and I will endeavour to have a definitive answer within the next 24-48hrs.

If by chance Gardiners run does not honour our booking I will do all I can to try and book us in at another course (as hard as this will be)

I will release a press conference on my findings when I see fit to do so ;).
